29th Pick: Green Bay Packers

The ever so often NFC North Champions repeated in 2020.

Though it’s not all sunshine and roses as again, the Superbowl touted Packers were defeated in the NFC Championship game!

Lost star Offensive Lineman Corey Linsley in Free Agency.

Quarterback: 0% chance of a pick here with Aaron Rodgers for now and Jordan Love ready to fill in for his GOAT predecessor. A+
-Rodgers 48 Passing TDs, ranked 1st in the NFL.

Skill Positions: Top 2 receiver in Davante Adams and solid running back/TE position groups. A

O-Line: As referenced before, some question marks with star Center Linsley gone to LA and ever reliable Bakhtiari coming off a torn ACL. B

D-Line: Reliable in both areas of pass rush and run stopping. Za’Darius Smith is exceptional. B+
- 41 Sacks on QBs, 10th in the NFL

Defensive Backs: Poor unit overall, as seen in the NFC Championship game with a special talent in Jaire Alexander who covers up gaping holes. Improvement at 2nd cornerback needed. B-
-64.6% Pass Completions allowed, 18th in the NFL
-11 Interceptions, 18th in the NFL

Prediction:

Again 3 roads available.

(1). Sure up the offensive line to get the best out of Rodgers and instil more confidence with less stress.
(2). Late round talented Middle Linebacker who fits the system.
(3). A potential game-destroying Defensive Line presence.

Four potential options below:

Christian Barmore, Defensive Tackle out of Alabama:

Barmore is a perfect fit for the current Packers. An instant upgrade to that Defensive Line alongside Kenny Clark and opens up much more space for the Smith’s to attack the passer outside. Great option!

Jayson Oweh, Defensive Lineman out of Penn State:

Another game-destroying presence alongside the Defensive Line. 6'5, 260 lbs running a 4.36 40 yard dash is about as close to a perfect NFL athlete for this position you will find. Potential turnover machine.

Teven Jenkins, Offensive Lineman out of Oklahoma State:

Previously spoken about option for the Bills, Jenkins is perfect as a versatile Offensive Lineman in a gun slinging attack. A mix and player that I’m sure the Packers are well aware of.

Zaven Collins, Linebacker out of Tulsa:

A large physical linebacker could be exactly what Green Bay are looking for to lead that defence in the middle. Great potential.

In 8 games last season he recorded:
- 4.0 sacks
- 4 interceptions
- 2 forced fumbles
